'I don’t have a specific person inspiring me, I have the full queer community behind my back, inspiring me every day to keep inventing myself and keep getting to know myself better and better.'

This year a total of three beautiful people will be the center point of our campaign. We love to share some personal moments behind these wonderful faces. And so, we sat down with campaign model Diede to chat about what brings joy, inspiration, and empowerment.

By not defining herself, or to one pathway or another, Diede enjoys being creative and following her heart with everything she does. We asked Diede what brings her joy in day-to-day life and the inspirations she is surrounded by.

'I think what brings me the most joy is being around people who intentionally move forward with their hearts. There is not one specific person inspiring me, I have the full queer community behind my back, inspiring me every day to keep inventing myself and keep getting to know myself better and better.'

With Diede being inspired and experiencing joy from the beautiful community around her, we wondered if there was anything specific that she reminds herself of in moments of needing hope. Diede shared with us: 'So I’m not a big reader and I barely read books or interviews, but I’ve read something from a psychologist who used the term “to define is to limit”, and apart from my gender or how I want to express myself within my gender fluidity, I think it gives me the most hope in my general full life to be whatever the fuck I want and whatever I feel like because that just changes weekly, monthly, yearly. So having full freedom by not defining myself is giving me unlimited chances, and I like to take chances.'

What Milkshake stands for, translates into shared and personal meanings for each and every one of our community. Diede shared with us that Milkshake for her means 'Being my full, free, authentic self.'

'I would love to have the word Earth replaced with Milkshake because I think everybody would be their happiest self. Love is the cure, and that’s it!' and to that, we say amen!
