Milkshake Campaign 2022: A Chat with Juan

5 February 2022

For this year, a total of five wonderful faces will be the centre point of our campaign. Behind these faces are beautiful stories that we love to share with you. We sat down with campaign model Juan and asked them about their drives and dreams.

"We are shaping the future. I aspire to inspire the next generations to express and love themselves unapologetically."

“When I was in my teens I started experimenting with piercings, make-up and clothing to explore my own identity. At the time, everything I did was very fashion focused and extreme, but my love for everything extreme kept growing from there. Extremity is a kind of self-expression in my fantasy world that shapes my alter ego, Pxssy Papi. I project my fantasy on myself so that we can all enjoy my world together.

Growing up, people regularly asked me ‘what do we call your style?’ and I would say that it didn't have a name yet because it’s from the future! Now years later, my style can be seen in mainstream fashion. So, no matter how unique and daring your style might be, get it out there and see where it takes you. It feels good to motivate people to do what they want and activate their creativity; it's how we can inspire and learn from those around us. Together we are shaping the future. I aspire to inspire the next generations to express and love themselves unapologetically.”

“At the end of the day we are all humans, and everyone deserves to experience that”

“I hope for the future that the queer community that we will be viewed just like any other community on the planet, with all having equal acceptance and opportunity. We should all be able to express ourselves in whichever way we want to, without being judged and harassed. At the end of the day, we are all humans, and everyone deserves to experience that. I'm happy and proud of being queer, but there are so many people too afraid to wear what they want and be who they want. I wish for them to be able to do their thing."
