Christian Yav Free Expression of Self for Milkshake

31 March 2022

At Milkshake Festival 2022, this beautiful artwork will be the stage backdrop at Vieze Poezendek and we are in for an enchanting experience as Christian Yav created this visual in collaboration with Ussi’n Yala, watch the full video below.

For the collaboration of the visuals, Yav worked with Yala. The base of this project was free expression of self. So Yav created 2 characters that balance each other out, existing in space, going through the motion of movement. Together they wanted to portray an honest and rough portrait of someone who’s comfortable in their skin, expressing their gender identity. Therefore they choose to collaborate with Dylan Westerweel using some pieces from his last collection CLAUDE called a love letter to queer beauty.
